About Me

I have been in the fitness industry since 1985, helping hundreds of people achieve their goals. My clients come from a diverse background with equally diverse goals.

My involvement in the Martial Arts started in 1983 when I was 18, and I currently hold black belts in Kung Fu (3rd Degree) and Karate (2nd Dan). I am also a former Kung Fu World Champion and have trained in both Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu.

In the mid to late 1990s I ran my own private Sports Injury Clinic in South London and have run Sports Therapy / Massage Clinics at several Health Clubs in South London and Canary Wharf.

Between May 2003 and February 2006 I was a Tutor of Sports Massage and Personal Training for Premier Training, one of the leading providers of Personal Training and Sports Therapy tuition in the UK at the time, and I have written articles for the BKK (British Karate Kyokushin) magazine.

I have also lectured in Sports Massage, Sports Science, Sports Development and Sports Nutrition in several colleges in South and East London and have worked with several coaches and athletes from Herne Hill Harriers with their injuries, and Old Thorntonians FC with their pre-season SPARQ training.

As an educator I ran my own courses in Orthopaedic Assessment of the Knee and Sports Injury Screening .

In 2019 I took up a role with Train Fitness as Assessor, Tutor and IQA. I also drafted their Level 3 Sports Massage course.

As a Personal Trainer and Sports Therapist I have helped people from diverse sporting backgrounds.

Health and fitness is a lifetime passion and commitment for me and I try to set a good example to all those I meet. I enjoy helping all my clients be the best version of themselves. Being 59 years of age, I have much in common with my clients (men aged 45-60) and fully understand how, as men, life changes a lot during these years. I am also married and have three daughters.

I am a 2nd Dan in Kyokushinkai Karate (BKK/IFK)
